Geppeto's Aquarium by right-angle Geppeto's Aquarium by right-angle
Taken through a shop window, on a gloomy overcast afternoon in Zurick Austria. One piece of film left, train leaving in 5 minutes. Decided to isolate one wooden fish. This image has been made into a limited edition which is half sold out. 11 X 14 edition of 45.

Pentax 6x7, 90 mm lens, Tri-x film f2.8 @ 1/125

Geppeto's Aquarium by ~right-angle is a quirky surrealist composition that makes fine use of a narrow focal depth to remove the scene from the mundane and towards the imaginative. ( Featured by arctoa )

Weird.... how did you isolate the fish?

by using such a small f-stop… f2.8 does not allow for a very deep area that remains in focus.  So I focused specifically on that one fish.

Hey Doug, I've just been browsing through, and admiring your gallery.
It's funny, I remember the ads for the Pentax 6x7 ~ years, decades ago ~
and wished I could have afforded one, not sure why. I just remember the
days when I burned thru a LOT of Tri-X pan film. Great stuff with wonderful
built-in grain! I discovered your name as I was looking at the Canadian
sand/snow sculptor with whom you collaborated. Hope I didn't lose that page.
Anyway...nice to come across new folks on this site. Great work!
